    Hello Travelers!

A super big thank you to Scout Cat Phillips whose idea blossomed into a terrific trip through Indiana, Michigan and Pennsylvania – and to the local hosts in those places, Scouts Gracie, Cat and Timmy and Einstein for showing us the sights. Where to next? Who knows – we're always looking for fun right?

THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS TRIP FROM START TO FINISH!

ARE YOU HOSTING A TRIP AT TEDDY'S TRAVEL GROUP??? If so, we have guidelines for you to follow. PLEASE FOLLOW THEM…..they will make your trip a lot more fun for EVERYONE!

First of all, thanks for wanting to host a trip at Scouts; have a blast! After years of trips and fun; though, we have found if we stick to a few basic “rules,” it helps everyone have a better time.

Most of our trips these days are “come as you can” and allow you to pop in and out at will or as you’re able, it’s still helpful to know some basic things about the trip you’re taking. They are:

    1. What time are we leaving and from where?
    2. Is a passport or ticket required? (Note: Passports are made by the Travel Group. We have the template, so just let us know you need one.)
    3. What will we see and do? (Though photos will be available in the gallery for Scouts to use, you need to let them know who the host will be for that part of the trip and approximately when each event will occur. Some individuals prefer to be present during the event. Others can post whenever it is convenient for them.) If you are hosting the trip – YOU are responsible for photoshopping and picking photos to put in the GALLERY – send to Teddy and we will set it up for you!!
    4. Where will we sleep (if an overnight trip). Make certain your gallery has photos of available accommodations.
    5. When do we come home?
    6. When posting photos in a photo gallery, please make certain the photos aren’t tiny. They should be large enough that people can easily work with them when photo editing. A good size is 800 pixels. If Scouts need to enlarge photos to work with them, they often become blurry, so it is helpful if full-size photos are posted in the gallery.
    7. Don’t post too many photos in the Group Galleries of things you can easily “load up” as a trip progresses. Not every photo for a trip needs to be in a Gallery.
    8. If you yourself won’t be “monitoring” a trip, make certain you have others who will peek in on the trip from time to time to keep the action moving along. You don’t have to do it all. You can get help. Scouts LOVE to help! Just don't count on me (Teddy) to handle your trip – the trip is yours!
    9. Teddy’s Travel Group is more than happy to help promote your trip. We can do an announcement poster, post it on the Sidebar at Scouts and keep the Trip Group Details page updated. But you have to keep us informed. Let us know what we can do to help. We are giving you the venue, but we also can help with promotion!

If you follow these guidelines, everyone will have more fun. Empowering people with information allows them have a better time than if they are “flying blind” with no idea when or where something is happening. Your trip doesn’t need to be a “regimental march,” but you do need to give Scouts an idea of what to expect.

I am almost ALWAYS available. I’m lucky enough to have a Mom/Administrative Assistant who is retired, so message me through Scouts with questions, or you can email me directly at junekimm@aol.com.

Scouts want to keep traveling, so please keep thinking of fun things for us to do!

    Hello Travelers!

I have just concluded meeting with Santa Claus' PR Team about Scouts visiting again this year! We haven't settled on a date QUITE YET but we will keep you informed…….and they are SO busy this year that we are going to make it a ONE DAY TRIP. We'll leave in the morning and return after dinner with Santa that night. KNOW WHAT ELSE?????? This year we thought it would be extra special if WE gave Santa a present instead of HIM giving US presents. That's right – each of you can think of something you believe Santa would like to have for himself – maybe something for his sleigh or his Santa suit, or something for his leisure time (if he has any!) – it's up to you to come up with something to give to him. But "SHHHH" – it's a secret – we will surprise Santa when he thinks we're coming into his Den to give him our Christmas list, we really will be GIVING HIM PRESENTS!

Stay tuned for details……………tentatively put it on your calendar though for Saturday, December 14th. I'll let you know soon……………….
