As we approach Thanksgiving, it’s important for each Cat Scout to consider all of the things for which s/he should be grateful. Look outside your own wants and needs and think about how lucky you are to have a nice home, a loving family, a good wifi connection, and the opportunity to pawticipate in Cat Scout activities.
A lot of you have already posted some of the things for which you are grateful, so it shouldn’t be too much of a stretch to think of a couple more. For this Thanksgiving Merit Badge, post below the 3 things for which you are most grateful. Then use redemption code thanks16 to get a Merit Badge and 250 karma points.
A little late but I am Thankful for all the wonderful and caring furrends I’ve made as a result of becoming a Cat Scout. I am Thankful for my mom who rescued me from the shelter that was leading to a not so nice future. I am thankful for my fursibs that play with, share their warmth and treats too.

I loved reading what everybody was thankful for. Heartwarming.
I am thankful for mom bringing me home to live with her and Kali. Even though I hithed at her. She is patient. Mom treats me like a friend and a loved family member, this is a huge gift. We are a wee family and we look out for each other, for these things I am a thankful girl.

I am thankful that I found a good home six years ago and I no longer had to live in the woods. I’m thankful that my mom and dad are helping the outdoor cats that live on our property. They had the moms and all of the baby cats fixed and they are letting them live in the garage for the winter. And I’m thankful for my brother Nugget even if I do pretend not to like him sometimes.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I am most grateful for Dr Karen & the vet techs who are taking such good care of me this week so I can pee again. Dr Karen lets mom come visit me on Thanksgiving too!
I am grateful for Stacey who called mom about me & brofur Ozzie at the shelter many years ago. We knew instantly we were home furever, we already had mom wrapped around our cute lil black paws.♥♥♥ I am grateful for my four sisfurs (esp Jasmine) she is the best WWF competitor any cat could ask for! We have so much fun wrestling.
I am grateful for Denmaster and the wonderful world of Cat Scouts she has given us! Because of her creativity & imagination I have been on many kewl Scouting adventures and trips around the world, tons of pawties with the bestest of culinary delights, spooky campfires, have my own flat cat that travels , a rockin hippie van and the most FABULOUS Super Scout friends & a certain beautiful blue girlfreind any cat could ask for !!!! *Salutes* Pete
Without my mama’s mama, I would not have MY MAMA, HER DAUGHTER, and so I am thankful for a grandma I never knew.. I am also thankful that there are so many good-hearted bloggers who have rescued so many animals and given them homes and snuggles. My third thanks are for mama’s knees, between which I can always sleep safely without fear.
I am thankful for having a loving home with with fursibs, for having a peep that loves me and my fursibs so much and finally I’m thankful to have so many wunderpurr furriends all around the wurld! Thank mew all <3
Love it Basil.
Thanks Shoko!
I am thankful for the people who rescued me as a baby and took me to the shelter where I found my home. I am thankful my brofur is still doing well and has almost been in remission for two years. I am thankful for my new brofurs. I could go on and on…I thankful for my mom, yummy noms, many warm beds and blankets, plenty of toys and of course our cat scout friends!
I am thankful for the no-kill private shelter that rescued me from the public shelter. I had been turned into the shelter, along with some housemates, when my original human could not take care of us all anymore. After I was there a full month, the no-kill shelter took me to their place.
I am thankful that my humans rescued me, after another 19 days, from the second shelter, and took me to a home of my own.
I’m thankful that the dog in residence at my new home turned out to be so easily intimidated by a confident cat! MOL! He always tried to chase me, and would bark and nip at me,. but I put him in his place, and chased HIM! MOL!
I am so very thankful for my home and mum and dad. I’ve been helping mum take care of my sick sisfur, Maya, and seeing all of the love in mum’s eyes makes me get a little overwhelmed sometimes. I know that love isn’t all for Maya – it’s for all of us – and I’m really grateful for all of that love. I’ve been homeless before so I try to never take my home for granted.
I’m thankful for kindness and for the people who choose to bestow it upon others.
And finally, I’m thankful for technology and music. Over the past few months, Mum has given us cats this little magic box that makes music out of it’s grate covered end. This music was composed specifically for cats so it keeps us entertained while were home alone. (Music for Cats, by David Teie. Check it out!) It’s pretty and it makes me purr.
Awesome Obi…we all love ya.
I am thankful for my Cat Scout friends who are the best. I am thankful for my family who took me in and put up with my feral ways till I was socialized, a little anymeow MOL. I am really thankful for Dad. When he got the call about a sick kitten and the edge of life without hesitation he said to bring me over. He nursed me back to health with 24/7 around the clock care for 2 weeks. I am one thankful kitty.
Einstein, your dad knew a good thing when he saw it. You are a spotted prince and deserve nothing but the best.

I am thankful for my dear friends here at Cat Scouts. We have such good times together and you stick by me and Einstein on Quests and our travels to exotic destinations. You fill my heart with thanks. I am thankful for my brofurs and sister who love me no matter how silly I may act and are always ready to play whack the mousies or lets climb on Dad. Most of all I am thankful for a loving home with my Dad and fursibs. I will say one more think I think we are all thankful for and that is all the great people who work so hard to foster and rescue so many furs who are in need. Thank You so very much!
Timmy, you are a guiding light to many of us and we loves ya. Have a super day with your loving family.

I am thankful for the people who rescued me and my brothers and my Mom from the trailer park in South Florida. Without them I would have had a very different life.
I am thankful for my Mom and Dad who adopted me and brought me home to a life filled with love and treats and super friends.
I am thankful for Cat Scouts which has helped me be a better cat and for the super pals I have met here.
First I want to say how much I am enjoying what other scouts are thankful for. So touching.
I too have many things to be thankful for and first I want to say I am most thankful for my mom. She is my everything. She found me when I needed to be in a loving and quiet home. At first I was really shy and did not like to be held because of the hard start I had with my life. Now with her loving she has made me feel safe and loved. I cannot get enough of her loving on me.
The second thing I am thankful for is when I was found in an ice cream truck in Carmel, IN trying to raise my litter of kittens while myself being almost a kitten. I was taken to a shelter that had my baby kittens adopted out. When it was time for me to be adopted they kept me as a new litter of kittens was brought into the shelter so I was there and raised them as my own until they were old enough to be adopted. I not only found homes for my sweet babies but my adopted babies as well.
Of course it goes without saying that I love my extended family. My grandma and grandpa are so kind to me they let me come and visit with them. I still am not quite used to Aunt Gracie but try each time to get to know her better. She is so patient with me there are no words to describe how I am grateful for that.
There are so many things to be thankful for it will be hard to just limit to three but I shall.
1. First I am so happy for my wonderful furever home. I am glad that mom and dad let me adopt them that day way back on 6 of June 2009 when I found them and knew I needed them in my life.
2. I am thankful for the human brother and sister I have and their families. I especially am thankful for our wonderful grandbeans and two of the three are able to give me snacks when they ask my mom if it is all right. Soon the little one will be able to give me snacks when she is a little bigger.
3. I am thankful that I have good health and the folks do too.
I am thankful for my big perch so I can get out of the way of the scary new kittens.
I am thankful for my Cat Scout friends and my brofur and sisfur friends.
I am most thankful for my hoomans who saw a poor skinny junkyard cat with a big heart and gave me a home. (Also, they have thumbs! Thankful for thumbs to open noms!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about how lucky I am……and how very thankful I am for so many things.
I’m thankful that almost 17 years ago I was adopted from a shelter by two humans who saw a lonely, sad little kitten that had been passed by because people thought I was “deformed” because I was polydactyl (imagine that!)
I’m thankful that I have a really wonderful vet who has probably kept me going longer than I would have otherwise considering my thyroid and digestion issues. He gives me soft hugs and talks quiet to me and I trust him.
I’m thankful that Mom signed me up for Cat Scouts a long time ago – I’ve had such amazing fun…..met some incredibly CLOSE friends…..enjoyed being a leader…..and I hope I am able to be here to continue having fun for a while longer.
THANKS to all my Scout friends…………………….and especially to Denmaster for creating Cat Scouts…………………….
Salutes and Hugs and HAPPY THANKSGIVING………………………..Sammy

1. I’m Thankful my mom got rid of that nasty thyroid and machine so I can sleep with her at night again.
2. I’m Thankful I got a bag of freeze dried chicken from my Secret Santa and mom buys them for me now.
3. I’m Thankful that mom saved me so I have a warm home and full belly all the time…
Oh It is Mango and I think I am thankful for that Pumpkin Kitten who has Gkommed onto my poor Mom! I love my Mom the mostest and I hope soon that this Pumpkin Kitten :rows so there is room for Mom’s lap for me!
I am most thankful for my beautiful wife Allie and that we were able to be married here at Cat Scouts by Denmaster with all our friends in attendance.
I am most grateful that my sisfur Fiona is still with us after being diagnosed with stage 4 CKD eleven months ago. She is one of the sweetest kitties on earth. You can see be bathing her in my Helpful Cat Scout Law post at CSU!
I am most grateful that I am not a bully like my sisfur Misty May. She torments Astrid whenever she gets the opportunity. I try to treat my sisfurs well; even though, I do like to wrassle with Calista Jo.
I know that was three, but I cannot say what I am most grateful for without mentioning my humans. They are so good to all of us with beds (including there own), cat trees, noms, treats, toys and nip. They’re the BEST!
First and foremost, I’m thankful for my forever home! Second, I’m very thankful for my vet, Dr. Marshall! She keeps this old cat goin’! And last, but NOT least, I’m thankful for Cat Scouts! I have made amazing furends, and am learning so many wonderful and useful things!!
