Tonight’s the night! Time to hike in to Camp Joy, pitch your tents and get ready for the opening ceremonies at 5pm EST at The Campfire. Perhaps your patrol wants to take a selfie around the Camp Joy sign before you start!

What do you need to do?

Aside from the usual hiking and camping preparations, you will need to:

  • Prepare a photo of your patrol marching in the color guard. Members of your patrol can carry the patrol flag, the Cat Scouts flag (below) and/or the Cat Scouts Jamboree flag (above). It is not necessary for every single member of the patrol to carry a flag, but you can if you like (and if you’ve brought enough flags).
  • flag
  • Bring materials with which to decorate your tents, and don’t furget to take a photo!
  • Bring noms for the campfire. It’s a potluck.
  • Don’t forget to pack clean underpants and your dress uniform.

We will assemble for the opening ceremonies, and then we’ll adjourn for the Tent Decorating contest. There are no restrictions as to what you can do, so long as you keep it clean and don’t engage in hooliganism.

Afterward, we’ll enjoy a potluck around the campfire, a special announcement, and lights out.
