Merit Badge: Computer Technology

Computers are a part of our daily lives. And they can help you become a better Cat Scout. You can send emails to your Congressmen in support of environmental causes, get a Cat Scout penpal from across the globe, or keep everyone in your troop updated on current Cat Scout activities.

One of the saddest developments in computer technology was the LCD monitor. CRT monitors did double duty as cat heaters and they are sorely missed. Of course, not everycat is old enough to remember that sweet life with CRT monitors.

Some cats use traditional computers, but more and more Cat Scouts are finding that the iPad is easier to use when you don’t have opposable thumbs. No matter what kind of computer you have, you’ll find that mastery of computer technology will serve you well in your endeavors, whatever they may be.
